‘Silence’ (new poem) (more quote than poem)

A song has been following me around for a few days and I meant to write a poem on cardboard, but I ran out of time.

So this is it.

Silence
By Maggie McGinity

Invisible man
Planning, planned
Drawing a blank
Happiest bank
Help me, help me, help me
Whispered (whispered) so softly

Pride without produce
Ride along’s no use
Embrace these opportunities
Before they pass you by
Or you’ll be left only
Holding your own”

Quotes:

“I’m sorry, but I’m just thinking of the right words to say
I know they don’t sound the way I planned them to be

But, if I have to walk the world and make you fall for me
I promise you
(I promise you)
I will”
-“I Promise You I Will” by Depeche Mode

“I guess you know why they’re all looking at you
For me it started when I turned twenty two
you count your blessings but youre still black and blue
you should go home before your money’s all gone

You said it was over but it’s started again
said it was easy but you still never win
and it was done before it started and they’re not your friends
you should go home before your money’s all gone
you should go home before your money’s all…”
