“‘Cause if one day you wake up and find that you’re missing me
And your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinking maybe you’ll come back here to the place that we’d meet
And you’d see me waiting for you on the corner of the street
So I’m not moving
I’m not moving”
Overall, I like this music video, even though the lead singer is sometimes bad at lip-syncing, stays pale even though he’s allegedly outside for long periods of time, and rarely looks at the camera.
Straight No Chaser, a male a cappella group formed in 1996 at Indiana University (Bloomington, of course). Om nom male a cappella.
Although the problem with liking male a cappella groups and even male choirs is that, if you take a look at the individual singers that make up the group, you’ll get some good eggs and some bad eggs. There are some people you really like, and some people you don’t like at all, and they all hang out and make very beautiful music together. Aristotle was right. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
I promise this post didn’t originally start out being about male singers. Or even males. Just one male. That’s what the song is about, isn’t it?
