Maggie’s Pick 10.17.14: “Moondance” by Van Morrison + Michael Buble cover

“Well, it’s a marvelous night for a Moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
‘Neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I’m trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low”

It’s October and I’m going to a dance themed “Under the Stars” and this song is sooooo very seasonal. And just great in general.

Also, I must say, the second verse is a scandal-and-a-half. I always feel a bit shocked when I’m listening to this on campus and it comes on. So forward.

The original. Dat jazz flute 😀

And the cover, also enjoyable.
