Maggie’s Pick 11.30.2014: “Sister Christian” by Night Ranger

The last of the alliterations for awhile, I start a new theme tomorrow. Also, tomorrow is December, the last month of 2014. How weird is that? o.O time is flying a bit too quickly for my taste.

“Sister Christian” Sunday, because obviously and perfect for 80s alliteration theme.

Maggie’s Pick 11.29.2014: “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” by Journey

More Journey today.

“Separate Ways” Saturday. I’m so proud of that alliteration.

Love this song, but this music video is just ridiculous. A narrative as dramatic as the music itself might have been more fitting.

Maggie’s Pick 11.28.2014: “Faithfully” by Journey

So I have a confession to make. The first time I heard this song, it was not the original version. It was the “Glee” cover in the Season 1 finale, which is an excellent version, but I’m picking the original today.

It’s “Faithfully” Friday, and I also love how this song hits the nail on its head about a performers’ life:

“Through space and time
Always another show
Wondering where I am
Lost without you”

Also love the opening piano. Om nom piano songs.

Maggie’s Pick 11.26.2014: “Carry On Wayward Son” by Kansas

OK, so I really need to start posting this Picks a bit earlier. However, this week is incredibly lacking in structure, and therefore I am off my game in all counts.

Anyways. “Carry On Wayward Son” Wednesday.

Lovely for overly dramatic sing-alongs.

Maggie’s Picks 11.25.2014: “Talk Dirty To Me” by Poison & “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler

Two-for-Tuesday today, a day of excess and ten-hour shopping sprees, excluding a three-hour break to see half a sequel.

First, “Talk Dirty To Me” Tuesday.

Second, “Total Eclipse of the Heart” Tuesday.

Not sure these pair well together, but it’s nice to have choices. Plus both music videos are quite epic, so that works well for this week.
