Maggie’s Picks 12.30.2014: “Heart’s On Fire” by Passenger & “Set The Fire To The Third Bar” by Snow Patrol

Hello! So I was hoping to have a poem to Twin with these Picks, but alas, I have not completed a poem I recently started. That might happen late tonight, it might happen tomorrow (because sometimes twins are born on two days and Twinning posts can do the same). We shall see, but in the meantime, these are the Picks.

Also I like one a bit more than the other, and that one is the second one.

“Their words, mostly noises
Ghosts with just voices
Your words in my memory
Are like music to me”

Maggie’s Pick 12.29.2014: “Perfect Situation” by Weezer

A songĀ I adore more than most.

“What’s the deal with my brain?
Why am I so obviously insane?
In a perfect situation
I let love down the drain.

And music video that’s fantastic to boot.

Maggie’s Pick 12.27.2014: “Run” by Snow Patrol

Trying not to overthink this one.

“Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I’ll be right beside you dear”

I really love the feel of this song. I’ve listened to it since high school and it’s never lost its appeal. As it turns out the music video is pretty cool too. I’ll just go ahead and tell you that you should expect more Snow Patrol sometime in the next week, possibly with a poem in a Twinning post.

Maggie’s Picks 12.26.2014: “Linger” by The Cranberries & “It Still Remains” by Cartel

I started my Christmas shopping in July. I’m actually still not done with Christmas, but I think I am done with Christmas playlists for a while, which is a bit annoying because now I need a new theme for one. Alas.

Anyways. “You can’t be a good Irish kitten if you don’t like The Cranberries.”

And this is this:

“It still remains
And I can’t pretend it’s gone
Count on me, to remember who you are”

Maggie’s Picks 12.25.2014: “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas” by Burl Ives & “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” by Christina Perri

Light blogging in the gap time between brunch and dinner. Merry Christmas!!!!

Maggie’s Picks 12.24.2014: “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby & “Blue Christmas” by Elvis Presley

White and blue are pretty together, but the snow is not looking likely here. Alas.

The fire is nice on this one. Looks warm.
