I noticed myself doing something over and over, so I decided to write a poem about it.
By Maggie McGinity
Off and on, on and off
Under and over double sharp
A round, a heart, a chain, a braid
Cheaply worn and cheaply made
A glitter, a glimmer, a hope, a wish
No one questions, but notices
Switch and switch, around, but which?
Ah. There is the hitch.”
“I knew such a woman once,
She gave me everything.
Her love like a soft riot singing,
She knew how to shine.”
